COMMENTARY: Less thanks, more complaints

After Thanksgiving weekend with my family I'm really tired of giving thanks. So now I must take the time to complain about everything sports-related I can think of. Why does the letter 'C' still appear in the BCS? And how many screw-ups will there need to be to finally see a playoff system? I don't even care much about college football and this still bothers me.

As a Boston Bruins fan, I'm used to disappointment; maybe not nearly the level the Red Sox fans have felt, but nonetheless I've been crushed numerous times. The last time the Bruins won the Stanley Cup was the 1971-72 season, getting help from arguably the best player to wear skates, Bobby Orr.

With six Colonial Athletic Association teams finishing the season in the top 25 of the Football Championship Subdivision, it wasn't a big surprise that five of the teams made the FCS playoffs. The CAA conference also proved its quality of teams by notching a 4-1 record in the first round.
