The audience that gathered in the Bowker Auditorium Saturday night was in for an educational experience as The Five College Dance Department (FCDD) held their faculty concert this past weekend. The show, titled "Light/Wave," featured the choreography and performance by the FCDD's distinguished group of faculty and showcased their unique interests and talents.

It was, however, something Honora Talbott was willing to take on as her senior thesis for Theater and Dance at Amherst College. She wrote, helped cast and co-starred in the two person show with the assistance of advisor and director Peter Lobdell.

Last Friday night, the Chiara String Quartet played for the packed Montague Bookmill. There were people sitting on the floors, and people were unsuccessfully attempting to sneak in just to hear a glimpse of the aromatic music. While the Bookmill and the quartet wanted everybody to hear the show, the already overfilled room was creating a hefty fire hazard.
Following the tradition of all epic battle movies, notably historical ones, 300 begins with a narrator, in this case the testament of Dilios, played by David Wenham (Faramir from the Lord Of The Rings franchise). Sitting around a campfire in what is perceived to be the prelude to some great battle, Dilios tells the tale of King Leonidas and his 300 soldiers.
