LYNN, Mass. - The bodies of a man and a woman were found Wednesday at the scene of an explosion and fire in a commercial building, the district attorney said.
Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said the deaths appear to be a "domestic violence situation by use of an incendiary device."
He said investigators were working to identify the dead and their relationship and to determine if the two died before or as a result of the fire. He said investigators were trying to determine if anyone else was injured.
He said investigators also were checking a car near the building that may have been booby trapped.
"This is a domestic violence situation - once again we have an ugly specter of domestic violence here in Massachusetts," Blodgett said.
